Christian Dorn’s Story:

Christian Dorn is a professional drummer and studio musician who holds an incredible passion for creating music both live and in the studio. He is currently living in Denton, Texas and is a graduate from The University of North Texas where he studied music & business.

​As a professional drummer, he has worked alongside many renowned musicians & artists and he brings professionalism and a high level of skill to every gig. Christian’s playing credits include: Eleven Hundred Springs, American Idol’s Fritz Hager III, Bart Crow, Charla Corn, Michael Padgett, Abbey Cone, Zach Coffey, Western Rewind Band, The Texas Opry House Band, The Six Flags Over Texas House Band, and many others.

Christian currently works as a freelance drummer and serves as a first call studio drummer in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas.
His recording credits include the likes of Eleven Hundred Springs, American Idol’s Fritz Hager, Josh Vincent, Deryl Dodd, James Cook, Paul Wintyrs, Jenn Ford, Preston Scott, Matt Marshak, Luke Christenson, Aaron Lacombe, Adrian Johnston, Lacey Ingram, Luke Christenson, Zach Coffey, and Sarah Hobbs among numerous others.

In addition to playing, Christian is the owner and engineer at Drum Arsenal Productions. This full-production studio is where Christian records drums and percussion tracks for clients around the world and works as a mixing engineer on projects of all sizes. His mixing credits include Dallas rock giants Strap, Eleven Hundred Springs, Arcane Rodeo, and many others.

As an educator, Christian keeps a busy schedule working as a consultant, clinician, and drumset teacher with many percussion programs in the area. Over the years Christian has had the opportunity to be an adjudicator for the Guitar Center Drum-Off, TMEA All-Region, All-State, and TMEA All-Region Jazz competitions. Christian is also an active member of the Percussive Arts Society's Drumset Committee and is currently serving as the committee secretary. This committee is on the forefront of drumset education and helps ensure all students of the instrument can benefit from the Percussive Arts Society. In 2022 Christian was the featured drumset artist for Frisco Lebanon Trail High School’s percussion pops concert under the direction of Dr. Rob Parks.

Through his work as a touring drummer and session musician Christian Dorn has acquired a great deal of acclamation and was voted the 2018 “Drummer of the Year” by the Texas Country Music Association. He is presently on tour with Texas Country icons, Eleven Hundred Springs, and is the full-time drummer at Grace Bible Church.

When not playing music, Christian enjoys spending time with his wife Kami and playing with their two dogs, Nala & Penny.
He is an avid traveler and cooking enthusiast who shares a remarkable passion for exploring new cities and cultures.
